This vintage coffee table has been sanded in stages then painted with a copper oxidizing paint. A rust accelerator has then been applied to the painted portions of the coffee table. The rust accelerator reacts to the metal, (real copper), within the paint, creating an actual patina, rust finish on the wood.
The tabletop has been done in stained wood to accentuate the wood inlay & small patina accents have been added to the corners of the tabletop. The table’s base has iridescent hues in complimenting patina colors, that have been added to create more depth in it’s finish.
The entire coffee table has been sealed with a clear coat finish, from top to bottom, for added durability.
